Reflections on love

What is love? Love is not just a feeling or an emotion, it's much more than that - Love is an action word. I once heard this quote that if you love someone, you have to let him/her go. Love is not about possessing someone, you can love someone from afar.  Love requires sacrifice and to love someone is a choice. Feelings and affection for someone can fade in time, but true love doesn't go away that easily. If love is just based on what we feel in our heart, than it can be a dangerous and deceitful thing. If your love is only based on an emotional feeling, than it means that if one day you feel like you love him, you will do anything for him, but if the next day you feel like you don't love him, you will just walk out on him, because the feeling of love is no longer there. But love is about choosing to stay put and work out all the wrongs to make it right, no matter how hard the circumstance. The Bible tells us that "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

Let's look into the Bible for it's definition of love; "Love is patient, love is kind, and it is not jealous; love does not brag and it is not arrogant, does not act unbecoming; it does not seek its own, it is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness; but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hope all things, endure all things….. But now abide faith, hope, love these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13)

True love was demonstrated to us by Christ, "But God demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "Greater love has no one than this, that he lays down his life for his friends. (John 15:13), "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16) Love is always about sacrifice, God gave and gave and gave. That is just His nature, "The one who does not know love does not know God, for God is love" (1 John 4:8)

What motivates you to do the things you do?  Is it out of obligation? Out of love? Out of fear? The bible teaches us that "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives our fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not perfect in love." (1 John 4:18).

Fear however has two types… Irrational fears such as fears of cockroaches and a reverent healthy fear of the Lord, which leads to life, " The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death." (Proverbs 14:27)

The fear of God, actually drives us towards him, not away from Him. God has shown us so much of His love that, our only response to Him is to love Him and worship Him by following and obeying him. We fear him because, He is God Almighty, Just and Holy and we are mere dust and sinners, damn to hell. God can smite us anytime if our sins arouses Him to anger, but He chooses to withhold His judgement from us because of grace.  "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both the soul and body in hell."  (Matthew 10:28), "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the father, full of grace and truth". (John 1:14) "For if, but the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life, through one man, Jesus Christ! "(Romans 5:17), "He made him who knew no sin, to be sin on our behalf, that we might be the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21) That's grace and that's true love!

Love can be demonstrated in a few practical ways - by words of encouragement, by praying, by works of kindness… "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountain, but do not have love, I am nothing." (1 Corinthians 13:1-2). Therefore, we ought to "Do everything in love" (1 Corinthians 16:4), "We love because he first loved us" (John 4:19). "A new command I give you; Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)

Love - because God first loved us and it is a demonstration to the world that we are indeed His disciples! Fear the Lord, because it is life!

Love the sinner NOT the sin

Short reflection…

There's has been much controversy about the LGBT agenda… Some are for it and some are against it. It is clear in the Bible that God made us Male and Female and homosexuality is clearly forbidden as taught in the Scriptures. Yet, today we are not talking so much about what the Bible says is wrong with being gays and lesbians. I want to discuss about how we relate to the people involve in such activities.

While most LBGT accused us Christians as being intolerant and unloving saying that we despise them and treat them as outcast of our society. I want us to reflect on the life of Jesus and see how he relates to the sinners. We should be following the example of Christ. I entitled my blog "Love the sinner NOT the sin… Isn't that what Jesus did for us as well? But before I dive into this topic I would like to clarify that loving someone DOESN'T MEAN that we accept what he/she does to be right.

Jesus loved us despite our sin, but that doesn't mean He closes His eyes to our sin and says, "Hey buddy, you can continue to do whatever you like because I accept you and love you as you are.." No, no that's not what Jesus did…

Remember the incident when a group of Pharisees caught a woman in the act of adultery and brought her to Jesus saying, "Teacher, we found this woman in the act of adultery, and the law of Moses allow us to stone her to death, what than do you say?"  But Jesus kept quiet and continue to draw on the floor, when the Pharisee pressed Jesus for an answer, he finally stood up and say, "Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone at her".  After hearing theses words, every one left including the Pharisees. When the woman was left alone with Jesus, He asked the woman, "Woman, where are they, has no one condemn you? The woman replied, "No one sir." Jesus answered, "Neither do I condemn you, now go your way and sin no more". (John 8:1-11) 

Jesus accepts the sinner as they are. When He called Zaccheus and found him on the tree, saying "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house" And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly. And when they (the Pharisees) saw it, they all began to grumble saying, "he has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner." And Zaccheus, stopped and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much." And Jesus said to him, "Today, salvation has come to this house, because he, too is a son of Abraham, For the Son of Man has come to seek and save that which was lost." (Luke 16 4:-10)

The heart of Jesus is that He is always seeking out the lost and He loves them just as they are, but just like the incident of the adulterous woman, Jesus tells her to go and "Sin no more". Jesus still does have to deal with our sins even as He loves and accepts us.

Now back to our dealings with the gays and lesbians. We are not saying that we hate them, as what most of the guys and lesbians thinks that we do. No we don't hate them, we just don't agree with their lifestyle.  We just need to love and accept them just as Christ loved and accepts us despite our sins and continue to pray for them, that eventually the love of Christ will transform them to change. Remember it is not us who cause them to change, it is the work of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to bring about the conviction and transformation. Our part is just to be the instrument of God's love to them.

Through all the years growing up in pain
Suffering from sorrows and so much shame

Who would have thought that a person with a such a past

Is able to endure an environment that is so very harsh
I endured the physical and the emotional pain
Yet through it all, God's love and faithfulness remains

I was lost and alone, wondering if any one cared

Than God's love found me, than and there
Now I know who I am and I know who You are
You are my heavenly Father and I'm Your precious child

You mended and healed this broken soul

With Your love, You have made me whole
Out of darkness into Your glorious light
You called me now forever to Your side

Now with You, I'm forever secured

The past has no power over me any more
God's love has broken the chains that held me down
Now hope and joy is all I'm glad to know and have found

Love is a choice!

Reflecting upon an incident that took place several years ago... And as I thought about it, there's one thing that is clear. Since God created the world, He knows the past, the present and the future. He sometimes preamps His children about what it is to come and it is up to them to choose to decide their attitude.

Some how it always amazes me when I reflect on the incident on Judah's betrayal of Jesus. Jesus knew everything from the start and yet He still... chose to love Judah and did not harbour any negative thoughts about him... Throughout, Jesus's heart towards Judah is one of kindness, forgiveness and mercy. This brought me to an incident which has personally took place in my life.

God asked me this question once (many years ago) regarding a friend whom I love dearly. He asked" "Would you still love him and regard him as friend, if one day he did something that would hurt you?" It was a honest and hard question, I eventually replied "Yes" not fully understanding what it meant.

The "hurt" that my friend caused me, eventually happened many years after the Lord has asked me that question. When I was dealing with the hurt, God reminded me about the question He asked me years ago..... I honestly struggled with it. I realised and learnt from Jesus that, love is a choice. Knowing that you are going to be hurt and still choose to love and forgive him is a deliberate choice.

Dealing with the pain, God asked. "Are you willing to give up that pain to Me and still love your friend?"

I had to make a choice - to be angry with my friend whom I love, or trust God to graciously help me deal with the hurt and than forgive and love him the way Jesus has dealt with Judah!

It is a hard choice, but since I treasure the friendship so much, I had to put aside the hurt if I really wanted to keep him.. Honestly, it still hurts every now and than when I think of my friend, but I have chosen to think of the positive things that has happened. The longer I harbour and think of all the negative things that has happened, the further I will cause the friendship to drift.

Love and hate is a choice. Choose wisely!

Valentine's Day Poem

Someone special, someone dear
Someone beloved who is always near
Taking your hands and wiping your tears
Assuring you that there's nothing to fear

Chocolates and candies are not His style
Coz He has something to give that's more worthwhile
He give you love, He give you life
He gives you hope in Jesus Christ

Do not worry about being alone
Or no one speical to call your own
The love of God is more than enough
To satisfy your longing soul

When days seems hopeless and the nights seem long
The Lord Himeself is near you, His grace helps you to move on
His death on the cross demonstrates His ultimate love so divine
God opens His arms to invite you today; He calls you to be His valentine

He is saying to you right now, My child, I love you so much
That I'm willing to give My all to you
My love for you knows no reasons, limits or conditions
And My words and promises forever will stand true

All you have to do is to believe and receive
This gift of love that is readily available for you
I'm waiting for you to be my Valentine

A Short Reflection on Thanksgiving

As we celebrate the annual event of Thanksgiving which falls on every 4^th Thursday of November, let us take a moment or two to reflect on the significance of celebrating this day.

Thanksgiving as the name suggests, it is a day we put aside to remember the blessings that we have and we give thanks for them.

The history behind Thanksgiving

It became an official Federal holiday in 1863 when the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a nation day of “Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens”, to be celebrated on the last Thursday in November. Also there are reports that the original Thanksgiving proclamation was signed by George Washington. As a federal and public holiday in the US, Thanksgiving is one of the major holidays of the year. Together with Christmas and New Year, Thanksgiving is a part of the broader holiday season.

The event that Americans commonly call the “First Thanksgiving” was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in 1621. This feast lasted three days, and it was attended by 90 Native Americans (as accounted by attendee Edward Winslow) and 53 Pilgrims. The New England colonists were accustomed to regularly celebrating “thanksgivings” - days of prayer thanking God for blessings such as military victory or the end of a drought. The Question

Maybe we now ask, why do we specially set aside a day to give thanks? My suggestion is because we humans are forgetful beings and selfish in nature. We tend to take things for granted and we are not gracious people. We expect things to be done for us as and when we want it done. We grumble and complain too much and express very little amount of gratitude. Speaking as a Singaporean, I must confess that our typical Singapore culture is that we are known to complain about every nifty gritty thing. We complain about the Air-condition not working, we complain about traffic jams, crowded buses and trains, we complain about not having enough buses, even late buses… Let’s face it, we complain about almost anything and everything. How often do we remember to say, thank you to the cleaner who helps clear our tables after and before our meals to ensure we have pleasant environment to eat in? When was the last time, we thanked and appreciated the road sweepers for helping us to keep our country clean and green? Not very often though, if we are being honest.

We are like the Israelites in the Bible, they are a bunch of ungrateful people who are constantly complaining and grumbling. During the 40 years of wandering in the desert, how many times have they grumbled and complained against Moses and the Lord? They grumbled about having no water to drink because it was bitter (Ex 15:23-24). They grumbled about having no food in the second month their departure from Egypt (Ex 16:2-7). Again at Chapter 17, the people of God complained again about water in verses 1 – 7. Within a span of 2 short months, they already complained 3 times and again they complained and grumbled against Moses for taking so long to come down from Sinai (while he was receiving the 10 commandments from the Lord). When Moses came back from Sinai the Israelite had built them a golden calf. They had soon forgotten about all the miracles they have seen and the goodness of their God, they have experienced during the time of deliverance in Egypt right through the crossing of the red sea). It seems like God was at their beck and call and He was their servant instead of the other way around. Aren’t we (humans in general) like the Israelites as well?

While it is good we should set aside a specific day for thanksgiving, let us not forget to give thanks on a regular basis. It is said that a grateful person is a happy person, because we are appreciative of the things and are done on our behalf.

We as God’s children have many things to give thanks for - Food on our table, a roof over our head, a job so that we can earn a living, a school we can go to, family and friends who care and our church family. We praise and thank God for every blessing of His daily provision, for the ability to live, for the air that we breathe, the food we eat and the water that we drink.  

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him, shall not die but have everlasting life” (John 3:16.)  If we can’t think of anything to thank God for, at least that reason alone is enough to compel us to say “Thank You Lord”. While we still have breath and are alive, there is another day, another chance to make tomorrow better.

“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

It is a privilege to be able to be alive. Let us take time to appreciate the things and people around us. Learn to be gracious, learn to say thank you, and in every circumstance learn to thank God!

Prayer- Oh Lord, teach us to be grateful and be appreciative of the things we have and towards the people around us and not to take things for granted. Grant us a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude, humble us and let us be generous in our words of affirmation. Teach us even in our busy moments, to take time just to enjoy and be grateful for the simple things in life such as a cup of tea with a good friend, a stroll in the park enjoying the breeze the beauty of nature which You have given us but most of all the gift of life itself. Thank you for loving us and blessing us with so many things!”

Running out of words to pray O Lord
I stand speechless before Your throne

The Greatness of God’s Love

I can’t sing and I don’t have the looks, I don’t have the courage or all it takes to be a star

Thus I can only watch while I see others fulfil my dreams from a far
I am only a poet who expresses my feelings through written words
No, I am nothing; I’m just a speck of dust in this great big world

Yet, You hold me with such great value, that You would sacrifice Your only Son

You called me special and You treat me like I’m Your only one
I looked down on myself with things I could not see eye to eye
Yet I failed to realise it was for my sin and failures that You have chosen to die

You said You love me despite all my faults

With such great love, my broken heart You have caught
I am beautiful and precious in Your sight
Watching me grow is Your greatest delight

Many times I fall but You’re always there to pick me up
Many times my faith falter, but You’re always there to clear my doubts
You come to me at my weakest point, You never let me go
There are many things I may not understand, but there’s one thing for sure I know

You have loved me with an everlasting love
Forsaking the riches of heaven, You came down to earth from up above

Father's Day Reflection

This Sunday, 15 June, is a very special Sunday because it is Father’s Day. And as the world celebrates fatherhood tomorrow, let’s spend a few moments reflecting on what a father is like.

Whenever we think of our Fathers, what is one common thing that we usually think of? Maybe the word – discipline & authority comes to mind. But how often do we think of a father as someone who is a figure of love and gentleness? Most of us would naturally feel that the loving and gentleness part is played by the role of the mothers; rarely would we associate dads with tenderness and understanding. The father is usually identified as the breadwinner and the one who plays the role of a discipline master. The mother is usually identified as the gentle parent who takes care of the family with love and patience.

I am not sure what kind of dad you may have in your lives. Some may have very protective and caring fathers, one who is gentle with them in words and in actions. Some may have abusive fathers, who are harsh and merciless in their speech and violent in their ways. Some may not even have a father.

Whatever kind of family background we may have come from, whether a not we have a good or bad father, one thing is quite certain. We all do need a father and a mother figure in the household in order for the children to grow up in a complete family environment. We need the fathers to provide the bread and to protect and teach the children how to live a life of integrity and honesty. We also need the gentleness and the patients of mothers to take care of us when we are ill. Though we admit that we all have imperfect parents, it is essential that we learn to recognize and honour the roles of both the fathers and the mothers and give thanks to God for them.

God gave us our parents, both the mothers and fathers. They are God’s authority over us and we as children must learn to recognize that. Even though many times we complain about their imperfection, we fail to realize that we ourselves are imperfect too. Speaking as a child of my own mother, I admit that there are many times in our growing up lives when we often do not see eye to eye with them for many reasons. Some children have constant squabble with their parents. We often hear of children grumbling about their parents for not being loving or caring enough. We blame them for not spending enough family time with us and we complain that they do not give us freedom to go out…. We grumble and complain about them for so many reasons, but we know that in general, most of us come from very normal and healthy families where our parents take good care of us. They make sure that we are well fed, well clothe and they ensure that all our daily necessity is well taken care of. For that, we all should learn to thank God for our parents, no matter how unhappy or unsatisfied we may be with them.

The truth is that our parents love us; they just do not know how to express them vocally. I used to complain and grumble about my parents and accuse them of treating me unfairly from my younger brother. My younger brother (10 years my junior) seemed to get everything he wants and has all the love and attention from my parents while I on the other hand, have to work for the things I want and I never seem to be able to please my parents no matter how hard I tried. I have lived with this emotional imbalance for many years but the fact is that my parents do love me. I just failed to see it because I was focussing on the things I didn’t get from them. I only see what they didn’t give me or what they didn’t do for me, but not realising and appreciating the things they do for me every day.

Actions do show that they are concern for us, – When we are sick they show concern by taking us to the doctor, reminding us to take our medication. When we were still schooling, they will remind us to study for our exams and do our homework. My dad drives me to school every morning while I was still in high school. Even till now as an adult, my dad still drives me to my examination hall when I’m taking private exams, to endure that I will be early for my papers. My dad will also endure I have a proper meal before I go for my papers, so when possible he will either take me out to have breakfast with him or buy lunch for me on his way back from work than pick me up from home to send me to my examination venue. I can no longer still complain that my dad doesn’t love me… He does love me and a lot… I was just too bitter and jealous over the love and attention my brother got more than me to see that.

Even as we look to celebrating Father’s Day in a weeks’ time, I want us to take this time to remember and honour the Heavenly Father. Many of God’s children today, have a hard time accepting and receiving the Father’s love, because many of us have a false or distorted image of a father in our own lives. God modelled for us what and how a father should be like. Throughout scriptures we read of the many attributes of God the father being gentle, forgiving, loving, merciful, and patient.
One of the best loved story and perhaps one of the most popular of all the Parables told by Jesus are the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin and The Prodigal Son.


The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15)

15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” 3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

The Parable of the Lost Coin

8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

The Parable of the Lost Son

11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. 21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. 25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ 28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ 31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

Jesus through His Parables, shows us the Father’s heart and love for His children. He is always seeking out for the lost.

The greatest demonstration of the Father’s love is the death and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ – God’s only beloved Son. This is the ultimate love – unconditional and self-sacrificial, all for the sake of His precious children. “But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). God loved us and died for us while we were still sinning, He did not wait for us to get better before He does anything good for us. He has been loving us since the day we were born. “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob and all the remnant of the house of Israel, you were have been borne by My from birth, and have been carried from the womb; even to you old age, I shall be the same, and even to your greying years I shall bear you! I have done it, and I shall carry you; and I shall bear you and I shall deliver you.” (Isaiah 46:3-4)

This is the kind of God we serve, and this is the kind of Father that we as God’s children have and so we can rejoice. Imperfect as our earthly fathers may be, they all desire that their children grow up in a safe and loving environment. No parent will allow their children to suffer in life; they all have good intention for us just that, most parents don’t really know how to express it. The Bible says in Matt 7:7-11, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him.”

What gifts did God gave us –

He gave us life through the death of His Son Jesus, “The wages of sins is death, but the free gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ” (Romans 6:23).

He gave us the Holy Spirit -  “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. (John 16:7)

He gave us healing in exchange of his wounds. “But He was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised of our iniquities, the chastening of our peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5).

So we may not have a perfect earthly father that we can all look up too, but Christians can rejoice in the fact that we have a perfect Heavenly Father that loves us beyond our own biological parents. Hallelujah to that!!!

To close, I just want to wish all fathers a very “HAPPY & BLESSED FATHER’S DAY”.

And to all of God’s Children, let us celebrate and rejoice in the love of our Heavenly Father!
May the love of the Heavenly Father, flow through you, so that you will learn and experience the truth and the warmth of the Father’s love.

The Perfect Father

You were exactly how I created you to be, Even before you were born." Then I stared at God and slowly began to cry "But Father, I said How could this possibly be, How could you love an awful looking sinner like me?" God smiled and took my hands, then wiped my tears and said "Child I made you and I love you And you mean the world to Me And in my eyes, you're the most beautiful person as far as I can see, So it doesn't really matter what you do or where in life you'll eventually go You are My precious Child and nothing else matters most You will always be my beloved no matter what others may say Don't be afraid of who you are, take My hands, My precious child, and I will lead the way."
